Milverton Agricultural Society
The Milverton Agricultural Society, is a volunteer-driven, community-minded, registered non-profit charitable organization that has been serving the community for over 155 years. The objective of the Society is to encourage an awareness of agriculture and the environment by providing opportunities, education and improvements to the quality of life for all citizens. We are also part of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS).
Annual Events include: Bluegrass Concert (March), Family Fun Fair (May), Tractor Pull (July), Fall Expo and Horse Speed Show (September), and Happily, Ever After Ball (November)
The Milverton Agricultural Society owns the Milverton Agri Centre (MAC) and Property which houses our multiple events and is available to the public for rent during the summer months or storage space during the winter months. We also hold an Ambassador Competition in which 17 – 23 year olds can compete annually for this leadership program; the winner receiving a $350 bursary on completion of his/her duties. This program provides many opportunities to further their public speaking and interview skills through competitions for District 8 Ambassador and CNE Ambassador (in Toronto) if said competitor is chosen as the Milverton Ambassador. The Milverton Agricultural Society consists of many members as well as 10-12 board members who oversee all events and programs, making sure the Society continues to run smoothly and support the community in which ever way it can.
